Originally known as the model B3 chair, this monumental piece of Mid Century Design was first conceived at the Bauhaus by Breuer in 1926 and has since been produced by many different manufacturing companies. Gavina, Thonet and Knoll being among the most prominent. Gavina later gave the B3 chair the name 'Wassily' after learning of a Bauhaus anecdote about Wassily Kandinsky, a fellow Bauhaus member, expressing early interest in the prototype. Because of this, Breuer later gifted a chair to Kandinsky for his Bauhaus office, forever cementing the interaction into Bauhaus/Breuer lore.

yoko armchair was designed by Inoda+Sveje

Yoko, a light and elegant seating design; a Japanese name and Scandinavian lines that come together in a piece of furniture with an aesthetic matrix, flavoured by both cultures.

A contrast in constant equilibrium thanks to the skilful craftsmanship of the Japanese-Danish couple Inoda+Sveje. The continuous cross-reference between the two cultures, their styles and manufacturing skills shapes a project composed of an armchair, a dining little armchair and a bench/footstool characterised by a dual lightness: physical and aesthetic.

Delicate and sinuous lines, created with precious cabinet-making interlocking techniques that enrich the structure of legs and armrests in solid ash open pore wood lacquered with a Liquorice colour, or in solid Canaletto walnut stained Light Brown, a chromatic choice that lends a more decisive tone to the elegance of the silhouette.

The wooden frame has a joint where the leg meets the armrest, both at the front and at the back: a structural joint that becomes decorative thanks to the clever use of the wooden material. In this project, the great expertise in woodworking that has always been characteristic of Nordic and Japanese craftsmanship meets the historical know-how of a Made in Italy company that has been an expert in exquisite upholstered furniture for decades.

The shell, in glossy lacquered Baydur, sits on a central swivel base in the form of a squircle, which is a geometric shape that blends the rigidity of the square with the sinuosity of the circle.

With its highly decorative appeal, Pattie brightens up the living atmosphere with an original colour palette, fitting into any environment as a true protagonist.
